Empowering Abilities, Building Futures
Genius is a Lebanese charitable organization founded in 2017 dedicated to serving individuals with mental and physical disabilities from age 1 to 30 years old, considering their strengths, weaknesses, needs and preferences.
Our main purpose is to integrate the individuals in the society and the labor market, by training them on a profession that fits their mental and physical abilities, as well as their preferences.
In order to fulfill their ambitions and dreams, as their rights like any other human, the individuals pursue a special academic program to invest in their chosen profession, while providing them tools for autonomy and self-reliance. They will then acquire the necessary academic learning they need and a profession that will prepare them to be part of the labor market, jointly with the center that will be responsible to assist, train and prepare them to engage in their profession.
The core mission of the Genius centers around providing care and support to people with both mental and physical disabilities.
Through our holistic approach, we aim to transform challenges into opportunities and ensure that every individual has the chance to thrive.
In 2019, with the aim of encouraging integration into society, Genius established the Saint Maron Inclusive School in the popular area of Bauchrieh (Dora). This school’s unique feature is its integration of children with and without disabilities.
Believing in the importance of early intervention in the life of the child, Genius established in 2023 a nursery “Ptits coeurs” in the Mansourieh area. The aim is to detect people with disabilities at a young age and provide them with the necessary support. The nursery is described as the “first of its kind in terms of integration.” This suggests it was a pioneering effort in the region to provide inclusive early childhood education, laying the groundwork for similar initiatives. The early years are crucial for development, and integrating children with disabilities from a young age can have a profound positive impact.
